Why come to therapy?

In our lifetimes it is usual and expected that we will encounter challenges. These can come in many forms, personal or professional. It is not uncommon to experience feelings of anxiety, stress, confusion or at times, a general feeling of being overwhelmed by responsibilities and expectations placed upon us by ourselves and others.

It is normal to experience the highs and lows of life. This is what it is to be human. In our body we sense, feel, think, and express. Our emotions are essential markers on our journey. Life does have its challenges, relationships may break down, we can become ill or have some form of trauma, all can trigger stress states.

It is in those times when our resilience is strained, and our body is out of balance that psychotherapy can assist us to get some balance and clarity back in our lives.

How can we help?

Therapy is essentially a journey of healing which brings with its self-discovery and often presents personal challenge.

Often times when the immediate state of stress has passed a new phase can present itself as we start to see other parts of our story that as individuals we would like to explore and learn from.

This is when we begin to move from a counseling supportive relationship to a more in-depth psychotherapeutic look at our lives.

We specialise in providing a safe, non-judgemental space for you to tell your story. Your needs are unique and at the heart of our therapeutic relationship.
